Matthew Perry Career

Matthew Langford Perry was born on August 19, 1969, in Williamstown, Massachusetts, but grew up in Ottawa, Canada, where he developed a passion for tennis, even ranking as one of the top junior players in the country. However, at 15, Perry moved to Los Angeles to live with his father, actor John Bennett Perry, and it was there that he decided to pursue acting. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Perry appeared in several television series and films, trying to find his footing in Hollywood. He landed roles in shows like “Growing Pains” and “Beverly Hills, 90210,” but it wasn’t until 1994, when he was cast as Chandler Bing in “Friends,” that his life would change forever.
