Story of CTRL
The story begins with social media influencer Nalini aka Nella (Ananya Pandey) who runs the social media channel Enjoy with her boyfriend Joe Mascarenhas (Vihaan Samat). The couple has millions of followers on social media. Everything is going well. Once on their third anniversary, Nella sees Joe and another girl kissing in a surprise live video. Nella is deeply devastated by this betrayal of Joe and she is trolled a lot on social media. For this reason, Nella decides to make a new beginning by erasing all the memories, digital past with the help of artificial intelligence. In this, Nella’s AI assistant Ellen (Aparshakti Khurana) helps her. After this, Joe Mascarenhas disappears from the virtual world as well as the real world. What is the reason for this? Why did Joe disappear? You will know all this only after watching the film!

This film has a new subject and story written by Avinash Sampath and Vikramaditya Motwane which brings something new and fresh to the film. The film’s director Vikramaditya Motwane made the story of the film on this modern subject which is a modern subject of today’s time. The story of the film is divided into three parts in which on one side is Nella’s life, on the other side her AI assistant Ellen and thirdly Nella’s activities like emails, posts, comments are seen. So much of social media has been shown in the film that it starts to feel boring. The robotic style conversation between Ananya Pandey and AI assistant Helen seems dull in the film. The climax of the film has not been able to become very exciting. Ananya Pandey has done complete justice to her role as a social media influencer. Ananya Pandey looked natural in the role of Nella, Vihaan also looked good in a small role and the songs of the film are according to the film.
